Kristin does a single process root with Redken’s double copper and touches up the #ombre with a custom mixed pink. This is a great way to have colorful hair without always having to bleach!

Below is a photo of our lovely client rocking 26 inch tape in extensions. Kristin has been loving these! Installing the tape in hair extensions is quicker vs the fusion. They last about 1-2 months but here’s the kicker, if you treat them well they can be reused! Just keep the hair and new tape can be added to them. To book an appointment you must do a consult. At that time Kristin will match your hair to the extension and figure out the length you would like. The hair must be ordered and payed for to Kristin. It usually takes about a week for the hair to be shipped. Price is $100 an hour and usually take 1-2 hours.

Let’s Melt Away Into 2016

2016 is upon us. We’ve been at it for nearly 6 years in good ole Bushwick. An ever changing landscape, this industrial land of ours. We’ve decided to bring on board a new stylist, Natalia and open 7 days week. Changes are good, gives us something to talk about, who wants the ho-hum?! Color melt is an awesome way to update creative color. This is achieved through an already existing creative color. We use the old color at the ends and melt a new, vibrant color at the roots. So much fun without all the damage of a full double process.

Tomahawk is super stoked for our new stylist/colorist Natalia. She has loads of experience from some of NYC best salons, Marie Robinson to Whittemore House and local Brooklyn salons Foxy and Roots Radical. She specializes in color with advanced training in Balayage/hand painted hi-lites. She puts her cutting skills to the test with women’s long layer, mid-length, bobs and pixies. Men’s cuts it’s all about the scissor over comb and T trimmers, no clipper work for this gal. Most important of all, her favorite band is Motorhead! Catch Natalia on Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and Sunday.

Decisions, decisions what kind of blonde do you want to be?! Well we do loads of Double Processes good ole bleach and tone. Remember we like to take it nice and slow so getting to a super pale may take a few visits. If you want to push your hair further we recommend adding the Olaplex treatment to your color service. Olaplex multiplies and mends broken hair bonds allowing us to push the envelope without comprising the integrity of hair.

#LOVEWINS and Our 4th of July Holiday Hours

Can we please put hate and bigotry behind us and move forward with pride and equality for all! We have so many struggles in our daily lives, can we not let someones sexual preference, color of their skin and gender matter – and just see them as a human being. Let’s be. Let us be…

On a another note we have some vacations in the works. The shop will be closed on Tuesday June 30 and Wednesday July 1st. Kristin Jackson will be away next week and returning to on Wednesday July 8th with available appointments. The salon will be open with Donna and Maria doing cuts and color. July 4th we will be open from noon-5pm. If clients are not booking we will close early and be back in at 1pm on Sunday. Hope you guys have a safe 4th of July. Let’s all sparkle in pride!
