Dead Kennedy’s Fresh Fruit For Rotting Vegetables and The Cramps Stay Sick were the albums that changed my life. I was 14 growing up in the midwest. I always felt like a stranger living in a strange land, a bit of an outcast. My mom moved us from the suburbs to the city and enrolled me in art school. I found my tribe, with like minded people. We listened to music that resonated anti-establishment, subversive culture, nonconformity and individual freedom. And now 20 some odd years down the line I opened Tomahawk and hired a kick ass staff of like minded ladies. Our canvas is hair and everyday we are thankful that we get to do what we love and be apart of our client’s personal story. In the words of The Exploited “We’re all punks and we don’t care, We’re boot boys that dye our hair…Punks not dead, I know it’s not!”
